Retirement Incentive

The Board of Education passed a resolution January 5, 2012 to authorize a Retirement Incentive Program, in an effort to mitigate the need for position reductions in the FY13 budget. The Program is designed to permit PGCPS employees to voluntarily retire from employment in return for certain severance benefits.

An Application, a FAQ document and the PGCPS Final Pay Plan description will be available as of Monday, January 9, 2012 at http://www1.pgcps.org/retirement/.  All applications must be sent via email to retirement.incentive@pgcps.org or fax at 301-780-6816 by midnight on February 12, 2012. These are the only two ways of submitting an application. Please note that all email communications will go to the employee’s PGCPS e-mail address.

Register for the 2012 Spring Pre-Retirement Conference March 10, 2012.
